IMPORTANT ASPECTS TO CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING A TIMESLICE SHOOT:

  • The cameras do require a lot of light, the ideal stop is f5.6 - f8, 100 -  400 ISO at 1/ 160th.
  • Once the rig is set up, it cannot be moved again without being re-aligned. Re-alignment may take 2 - 6 hours depending on the nature and amount of cameras on the rig.
  • The rig requires a minimum work area of 30 square meters for a mid-length shot and 60 square meters for a full length/ jumping shot for a 360 angle. The space requirements can be reduced if you only require a 120 degree shot.
  • Security will need to be provided by production if the rig is to remain set-up over night.
  •  Additional charges may apply if a suitable Wifi connection cannot be provided and 3G connection is used to upload data to social media / cloud storage account at the event.
  • Once assembled, the average file is about 150MB  for monitor viewing and can be down scaled to 30 MB for internet viewing.
  • At event/ Glam Cam shoots, production will need to supply a "Brand Representative" to show people where to stand and call out "action" as well as note email address if required.
  • It is possible to brand videos with a logo
  • Turn around time for the videos from start to finish is around 3 to 5 min, depending on the size of the rig and amount of cameras used.
  • If an exhibition stall is required, Timeslice Cinematography will assist production in the technical requirements of the stall. The production, printing and installation of such a set will however be the responsibility of the contracting production company.
